Last game, our heroes had to make haste and leave the bohemian, drug-ridden and largely chaos-aligned city Cronopolis, capital of Zondaro. This was because Sexius (the brother of the Empress Talia Lunaris) dispatched his guards to kill the players, as they had returned the Empress' demon-possessed son (next in line to power), Darius, from a dark dream dimension. Darius did not want to return, as he is a seer and foresaw himself murdering his mother.

The Players fled to the Island kingdom of Immyr (headquarters of the Merchant League), whose location is ideal as a commercial trading port used by many Kingdoms throughout the realm. It is a melting pot of cultures where commerce takes precedent over prejudice.

Ellis of Roe gets a lead that a gyroscope for the demon-powered flying ship (discovered in our first game), may be across the sea in the northern city of Gost in the Kingdom of Gondowyn.

The players set sail, but before landing in Gost, their ship is boarded and they are taken captive by the Northern Raiders, whose reputation as savage berserkers is well deserved.

Now turned into slaves our players are forced to row to the Raiders' homeland, Nordskar and dock in the capital, Thunderwall.

While the players are peeling potatoes and doing slave labour in Thunderwall, they soon discover the Raiders chieftain, Ragnar Skullcrusher, has been captured by the Kingdom of Romune and sentenced to the most feared prison in the realm, Mork Fangelise! Long ago, it was once a great city, but became terminally infected with chaos, so Romune turned the entire island into a great walled prison.

The rules are simple in Mork Fangelise: once you go in, you never come out. No one has ever escaped.

In the chieftain's absence, Slavemaker, a warrior of chaos, arrived at Thunderwall to rally the Raiders to the Drog' thadon's cause (the main antagonist), with the help of mouth-frothing proselytizations from the  Raiders' insane shaman.

Slavemaker
A chaos warrior whose mother did not love him.

Seeing an opportunity, our players convinced some Raiders that they could rescue their chieftain from the prison. Ellis of Ro then manufactures some gliders to gain silent entry into the prison, and when night comes they set sail for Mork Fangelise.

In their small ship, the Raiders and players make their way past Romune's guard vessels undetected and moor off a small island with high cliffs where the players silently breach the prison walls.

Once inside, the players deal with common Fangelise scum; get a lead on the chieftain from a booze-can; then make their way down into the sublevels of the ancient cities that Mork Fangelise rests upon. There, in the undercity, they fight perverse slime people and a giant black slime crocodile.

Following the slime path leads the players to a large, open area where degenerate humans are worshipping the slime lord; a hulking figure, grossly fat, who is oozing black slime from open pustules. Chained to the wall behind him is the Raiders' chieftain, Ragnar Skullcrusher, who's about to be slimed.

Slime King

Bh'osh, in his own particular idiom, summons some demons to take care of the crazed mob while Ellis, Thragg and Arcturus make quick work of the fat guy, but not before he pukes buckets of slime on them melting their armour.

With the Raiders' chieftain in tow, they arrive back at Thunderwall and tap-dance on Slavemaker's head.

As gratitude, the Raiders' let our gang root through the booty they've collected over the years, when Ellis spies the gyroscope they had originally set sail for.

And there was much rejoicing. Yaaaaaa!

Our heroes have now made an invaluable ally in the Northern Raiders, who are at the players' service.
